Edo NYSC Permanent Camp Ready In 2018 – Obaseki

Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo has assured of prompt completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) permanent orientation camp at Okada town in readiness for the 2018 orientation exercise.

Obaseki gave the assurance when he and his deputy, Mr Phillip Shuaibu, paid an unscheduled visit to the facility located at Ovia North East Local Government Council of the state on Monday.

The governor said that perimeter fencing to guarantee security of Corps members and other facilities needed to make the camp functional would be looked into to ensure that it was ready for use next year.

He said, “We are here to take a look at the facility so that we can determine the amount that is required to complete it.

“We need to complete some of the buildings so that the next batch of corps members can have their orientation exercise here.’’

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that NYSC Corps members posted to Edo currently use the temporary orientation camp in Okada Grammar School.
