#CorperWeeJokes: Two university students from Ghana and Nigeria suspended in UK over Jollof Rice origin

Two students of College of South West London in the United Kingdom have been suspended indefinitely for a fight which ended with one of them going home with two broken teeth—and a red eye.

The students-Tracy Osei Assibey from Ghana and Lateefa Oyedepo had gotten into a fierce medieval fight which started from the kitchen of their apartment and ended up on the streets.
Sources disclosed that Lateefah was cooking her meal of jolloff rice when Tracy commented that, she was doing it the wrong way and that she shouldn’t use the fat grain easy cook rice.

Lateefah was said to have replied that how Nigerians cook jollof was the right way, and that Ghanaians stole jollof rice from them—adding that, Ghanaian jollof rice tasted awful, so much unlike the Nigerian menu, which tasted more palatable.

The ensuing argument over hollow rice assumed a messier dimension, when the two students began to pull each others weaves. This was then followed by heavy punches and blows.

It was gathered that the two students fought each other for over two hours. The physical combat, which started from their 5th floor apartment, soon ended on the ground floor of the building. It wasn’t until one of the college’s lecturers, a Sierra Leonine , Mrs Adelaide Walters jumped in-between them to pull them apart.

At a disciplinary meeting which led to their suspension over the weekend, Mrs Adelaide Walters who was present as a witness to the fight, stated that, it was absurd for two students who would possible become future leaders to fight over the origin and cooking of jollof rice—especially when both of them were wrong about the origin and the cooking method.

Walters informed the Disciplinary Committee, that Jolloff rice originates from her country-Sierra Leone and the ways both Ghanaians and Nigerians cook it is wrong, yet she does not go about fighting anyone.

The third year students were thereafter suspended, indefinitely, by the university authority.
